I’m Pamela
I’m a freelance WordPress web designer and content writer. I started Endeavour Design back in 2012, and since then have worked on websites for clients ranging from bloggers, through to eCommerce sites. My work has been featured on BBC Radio 2, and I’ve even created portfolios for musicians and writers.
I’ve always been interested in web design. I studied coding at school, back when all websites were still hand-coded, and spent my years at uni building sites for my friends when Angelfire and Geocities were still all the rage. But it wasn’t until 2007 that I started work on coding my first commercial site for a local dancewear store.
Despite my studies leading me down a different path, I kept the skill up all through university, coding, and building blogs for friends and family. I made sure to keep up to date with the burgeoning world of social media, learning to integrate platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram.
I trained as a museum curator working in museums all across Australia and the UK. As well as my regular curatorial duties I was tasked with writing web copy on historical subjects, so ended up stumbling into the world of copywriting and SEO. After leaving London, I planned to branch out on my own and used the skills I’d collected to start my own freelance business – Endeavour Design.
I have clients all over the world. My attention to detail, versatility, and inclusive design process have ensured referrals from happy customers.
I know it’s a cliche to say you’re passionate about design, but in my situation, it really applies. There are few things more satisfying than creating a beautiful, user-friendly website. A homepage is the public face of any business, so it’s important to get it right. I love working with my clients to make sure that their businesses or blogs are represented precisely how they want. It may be my job, but I love every second.
